The Chillicothe Police Department is joining with statewide law enforcement from March 15-31 to crack down on Missouri's seat belt violators and to reduce highway fatalities.
Detective for the Chillicothe Police Department John Maples says that eight out of ten teen drivers and passengers killed in traffic crashes are unbuckled and they are trying to reduce this number. Maples also says that local drivers should be prepared for heavier seat belt enforcement because the police department will be out in full force.
