Feb. 27, 2017ST. JOSEPH, Mo. | By: Morgan
The St. Joseph Health Department is offering a class tomorrow, Tuesday, Feb. 28, to help reduce fatalities and injuries caused by young drivers. The First Impact class is a traffic safety program for parents of new and learning drivers. Public Information Officer for the St. Joseph Health Department, Stephanie Malita, says the program teaches parents about Missouri Driver laws and driving safety.
The Missouri Graduated Driver License law is a three-phase process to ease young teens into driving. Malita adds the First Impact class is also helpful for parents who already understand the driving laws and driver safety.
Tomorrow's First Impact class will be held at 6 p.m. at the St. Joseph Youth Alliance. To preregister for the class, go to firstimpactmo.org and click on "events."
