Extension Service seeks to expand grower strip trials in northwest Missouri

The University of Missouri Extension Service is looking to expand grower strip trials of different agronomic practices. This year the focus is on phosphorus fertilizer, nitrogen timing, cover crop comparisons and termination studies, and ILevo soybean seed treatments. Regional Agronomist, Wayne Flanary, says the trials will be field length plots.

The Extension is looking for farmer cooperators in Holt, Atchison, Nodaway, Buchanan, Andrew, Clinton, and DeKalb counties. The replicated strip tests use grower's equipment and are harvested using yield monitors to record yield data.
