The University of Missouri Extension is offering Private Pesticide Applicator Training in three area counties.
The training sessions will be held Jan. 20 at the T.J. Hall Building in Oregon; Jan. 26 at the Nodaway County Administration Center in Maryville; and at the Atchison County Extension Office in Rock Port. Extension staff will also provide updates on agronomy, livestock, farm business, and horticulture. University of Missouri Extension Regional Agronomist Wayne Flanary says it is important for growers to have this learning opportunity.
The meeting will focus on the use of new dicamba resistant soybean technology. Flanary says that even if growers don't plan to use this technology it would benefit them to attend. A training manual is required for licensing during the training. Participants who have an old manual are encouraged to bring it to the meeting.
