The Missouri Department of Transportation will be conducting several bridge inspections in the region during the next two weeks.
The inspections will take place underneath the bridges but may cause some shifts in traffic. MoDOT is encouraging drivers to be alert and to watch for work zone signs and extra equipment on the roadways.
This week's inspection includes three area bridges: the U.S. Route 169 bridge over the Platte River; the Route C bridge over the One Hundred and Two River in Andrew County; and the Route 111 bridge over the Tarkio River in Holt County.
Next week, the Interstate 229 bridges over U.S. Route 59 in Buchanan County will be inspected.
