This week on the Bearcat Coaches Show, Northwest Missouri State football and cross country approach MIAA Championships, while soccer recaps the season and basketball enters its season-opening games this weekend.

The first regular season for new Northwest cross country and track coaches Brandon Masters and Nick Gibson is complete, now the Bearcats are heading into the MIAA Cross Country Championships this weekend in Emporia, Kansas, with a trip to the NCAA Central Region Championship on the line. Gibson joined the show to discuss the team's growth, and what he's expecting this weekend.

Bearcat soccer capped the fall season last Sunday. Now head coach Marc Gordon is turning his attention toward building for the 2019 season. He sat down with John Coffey to recap the season.

Northwest Missouri State men's basketball landed at No. 5 in the NABC Preseason Poll, and this weekend they will open the season against the top teams from 2017-18. The Bearcats meet defending national champion Ferris State and runner-up Northern State in the Small College Basketball Hall of Fame Classic. Ben McCollum spoke with Coffey about the early tests for his team.

Northwest football can claim a share of the MIAA title and solidify a playoff spot with a win over Fort Hays State this weekend. Head coach Rich Wright and running back Josh Caldwell joined the show to discuss this week's game against the Tigers and Senior Day.
