A career-night from Joey Witthus sparked Northwest's 14th straight win to start the season.

The Bearcats (14-0, 4-0 MIAA) beat Central Oklahoma 78-67 Saturday afternoon in Edmond, Oklahoma.

Witthus, after consecutive games scoring in single digits, bounced back in a big way with 34 points on on 10-16 shooting and 11-12 from the free throw line.

Northwest led by six points at halftime, but Witthus scored 26 of his 34 points in the second half to boost the Bearcats.

Ryan Hawkins also scored 18 points with eight rebounds, and reached double figures for the 10th consecutive game finishing with 11 points.

The 'Cats scored 16 points off 15 Broncho turnovers. 

Northwest returns home Wednesday night for their first of two at Bearcat Arena this week.

The Bearcats host Emporia State at 7:30pm Wednesday. That game can be listened to on KXCV 90.5 and KRNW 88.9 with pregame starting at 7:10pm.
