Northwest 66, Southwest Baptist 79

Despite knocking down 15 three-pointers in Bolivar, Northwest Missouri State couldn't overcome Southwest Baptist in a 79-66 loss Saturday afternoon.

The Bearcats fall to 7-19 overall, 3-14 MIAA.

Northwest hit 15 of 30 three-point attempts, including six from Jaelyn Haggard, but struggled inside the arc. The 'Cats hit just nine of 28 two-point attempts (32-percent), while also only reaching the free throw line five times in the game.

Haggard led Northwest with 20 points, followed by Kendey Eaton with 15 points. Kylie Coleman also scored 10 off the bench for the Bearcats.

Northwest returns home Tuesday evening for a matchup with Missouri Western. Pregame on KXCV 90.5 and KRNW 88.9 begins at 5:10pm, followed by the opening tip at 5:30pm.
