The final KXCV Bearcat Coaches Show of 2017 featured one team already in its break for the holidays, while two other programs have one more week of competition remaining prior to Christmas.

The Northwest Missouri State Indoor Track & Field schedule hit its long layoff over the holidays last weekend as they wrapped up the Charlie Foster Pre-Holiday Classic in Kearney, NE and the Crimson & Gold Invitational in Pittsburg, KS. Assistant coach Emily Peterson, Stanberry native Dustin Ellis and Eagleville native Haley Craig joined the Coaches Show to discuss the early success for the Bearcats.

Northwest women's basketball makes an Illinois swing beginning this weekend before completing the first half of its season. The Bearcats meet Quincy at 5:30pm Saturday in Quincy, IL, then McKendree in Lebanon, IL on Monday at 6pm. Head coach Buck Scheel spoke on the Coaches Show about the opportunity to earn a pair of non-conference wins and some confidence.

Bearcat men's basketball runs into its toughest matchup of the season next Tuesday, December 19. No. 1 Northwest plays No. 4 Lincoln Memorial University at a neutral site -- Owensboro, KY. The 'Cats beat the Railsplitters 79-67 in the 2017 Final Four on the way to the program's first national championship. Head coach Ben McCollum spoke to John Coffey about the challenges that come with LMU.
