Those needing assistance paying for their winter energy bills could see some relief in the coming months.
The Green Hills Community Action Agency will provide winter heating assistance to those in Northern Missouri through their Low Income Housing Energy Assistance Program on October first. Those who are 60 or older and who are 135 percent of the poverty guideline are eligible for assistance October first. Everyone else who meets the income guidelines will be eligible on November first. Community Development Director for the Green Hills Community Action Agency Cathie Chalfant says this program is important to those in need.
