The pilot of an experimental plane has died while taking off from Cameron Municipal Airport in northwest Missouri.
Police say the plane crashed last night with the pilot, 52 year old David King of Lawson, pronounced dead at the scene. Federal Aviation Administration spokesman Tony Molinaro says the JDT Mini-MAX was destroyed in the crash. The single-engine plane is made from a kit. Public Affairs Officer with the Cameron Police Department, Heath Henry says officers were called to the scene of the crash just before 7 o'clock last night.
