NW Golf Team off to good start

The Northwest Missouri State women's golf team opened up their season last week with 3 straight days of golf competing in the William Jewell Invitational in Liberty on Thursday and Friday and the Graceland Invitational in Lamoni, Iowa on Saturday.

Bearcat golf coach Pat McLaughlin says he was happy with the progress his team made over the summer.

Northwest placed 2nd as a team in the William Jewell Invitational and won the Graceland event. McLaughlin says the scores posted by his players were impressive.The Northwest women's golf team goes back on the road Monday competing in the Ottawa Invitational at the Cardinal Hill Golf Course in Lawrence, Kansas.
