The Clarinda City Council has approved the final payment for a recently completed construction project.

City Manager Gary McClarnon says work on the new wading pool and play structure was finished last month.

McClarnon says the total cost of the project was just over 250,000 dollars. McClarnon also says the Clarinda City Council also approved a fundraiser for the Nodaway Valley Museum which will use the city-owned cemetery.McClarnon says this will be the second year for the Cemetery Walk fundraiser with this year's event to be held October 13th and 14th in Clarinda.
