Car Seat Crunch

Nuelle

ST. JOSEPH, MO (2012-09-19)

This week is National Child Passenger Safety Week and The Northwest Region Missouri Coalition for Roadway Safety is sponsoring a Car Seat Crunch tomorrow.

The event is being held to educate people on the importance of keeping children safe during travel by using a car seat that is safe and not outdated. The Car Seat Crunch will begin at 9 tomorrow morning in Saint Joseph, and people will be able to drop off their old car seats. Regional Director for Blueprint Coalition for Roadway Safety Jackie Spainhower says that it is important to get a new car seat when it becomes expired.

Spainhower says that many car seats wear down because they experience extreme temperature swings.Again the Car Seat Crunch will be tomorrow morning at 9 at the MO-DOT Maintenance facility in Saint Joseph, located at 4718 South US Highway 169.
