Barnard resident Jim Watson is 1 of 4 finalists for the Missouri Outstanding Older Worker of the Year award.

The 90 year old Watson works at Maryville's Hy-Vee where officials with Missouri's Experience Works program were on hand yesterday afternoon to announce the nomination. Employment and Training Coordinator for Experience Works, Deb Trautloff, says Watson brings a lot of enthusiasm to his job.

Watson has been with Hy-Vee since 1999 and says he looks forward to going to work each day.Watson has worked at Maryville's Hy-Vee since 1999 and represents Northern Missouri in the Missouri Outstanding Older Worker competition. The winner will be announced during the statewide event October 30th and 31st at the Governor's Mansion in Jefferson City.
