New research out of Iowa is launching a new theory on crop rotation.
Midwest corner producers might want to consider 3-year crop rotation of beans and corn rather than the traditional 2 year cycle. Iowa state agronomist Matt Liebman says advantages include higher yields and fewer weeds.
The three year plan is a corn to soybean to oat and red clover rotation, which the experts say helps a producer to grown his own nitrogen and reduce purchase inputs.© Copyright, KXCV
