As Missouri lawmakers continue trying to hammer out an economic development package in special session, Maryville representative Mike Thomson's mind remains on flooded northwest Missouri.

Thomson says as the flood waters go down, his efforts to coordinate possible assistance remains.

The Missouri house is set to return next week to continue negotiations on state economic bills.
