The St. Joseph City Council meets tonight.
Members are expected to approve a petition for the creation of the St. Joseph downtown community improvement district and create that new district. The St. Joseph council is also expected to add another $30,000 into the Police Department budget from grant money, authorize a work order with an engineering firm for a nearly $300,000 replacement of the Garfield Avenue Viaduct Bridge, and enter into a contract with the Missouri Department of Health for $10,000 for tuberculosis control programs. The St. Joseph City Council meeting starts at 7 tonight at City Hall.
