The St. Joseph Red Cross is reminding those whose homes and property were affected by recent flooding that they need to protect themselves from potential health risks.

Flood recovery centers in northwest Missouri are assisting more than 940 families whose homes were impacted by Missouri River Flooding. Kevin Kirby, executive director of the St. Joseph Red Cross says mold is a major concern especially for those with health conditions.

Home owners moving back in can contact the St. Joseph Red Cross for assistance.
