Clarinda area residents will get another blast from the past this Saturday evening.

It's family movie night at the North Ball Field in Clarinda. The event is a partnership between the library and Clarinda Parks and recreation and drew about 140 people for the first one earlier this month. Parks and rec director Randy Pullen says they use an inflatable 16 by 12 screen to show the films.

The movie "Soul Surfer" will be shown this Saturday night starting around 8 O'clock at the North Ball fields in Clarinda.
