About a dozen museums in the St. Joseph and Savannah area are taking part in this Saturday's free museum day.

It's sponsored by the Smithsonian Magazine, which partners with museums nationwide to offer free admission. Spokeswoman for St. Joseph museums incorporated Kathy Reno says all their facilities will be free to visit on Saturday.

Many museums do require an internet-printed ticket for the admission. Those are available from the website smithsonianmag.com/museumday.
