Several arrests are reported from sobriety enforcements in two separate counties in our region.
The Highway Patrol headquarters out of St. Joseph says a DWI saturation held recently in Buchanan county yielded two arrests for drunk driving. Summons were also issued for failure to yield violations, two stop sign violations, one for speeding, and 8 for seatbelts. Troopers also discovered 5 drivers without insurance and 3 drivers license violations. Also in the 24 hour period in Buchanan county St. Joseph troopers made 4 drug arrests and others for misdemeanor crimes. In DeKalb county, troopers arrested 2 drivers for DWI, wrote two driver's license violations, and issued a summons for one seat belt violation. A total of 108 vehicles went through that checkpoint in DeKalb county.
