Community College Health Grant

Wayman

TRENTON, MO (2011-09-28)

North Central Missouri College in Trenton will share in 20 million dollars aimed at re-structuring the way healthcare workers are trained in Missouri.

The grant money comes from the US Department of Labor and is going to the state's community colleges training future healthcare workers. For North Central, the grant focus will be on health information workers. North Central president Dr. Neil Nuttall says all community colleges will work together to transform the environment for improved health education.

Nuttall says the community colleges have worked toward the grant model for 18 months and will begin implementation as soon as possible.
