Chillicothe leaders are getting ready for the community to be judged this afternoon in a state-wide competition.

The Missouri Community Betterment Group sends judges into select communities ranking them with other communities of similar size. Communities can showcase youth involvement, civic and infrastructure projects, and a host of other activities to prove progress. Last year Chillicothe won first place in its population category and in the youth category. Citizens are being asked to help with a large turnout as judges meet at the Livingston County Library. That starts at 2 this afternoon.
