The city of Atchison will be celebrating it's heritage and local business' this weekend.

A taste of Atchison will highlight local restaurants and business's. Business's will display their shops and products for the public. One event held this weekend is "Atchison Through Your Eyes" a photography contest displaying what Atchison looks through the eyes of the community. Projects coordinator Mary Jane Sowers says this a great time for outsiders to get a look at Atchison.

The community is invited to vote for their favorite photo submissions during a taste of Atchison on September 23 from 5 to 8 in the evening at the Commercial Street Mall in downtown Atchison.
