MARYVILLE, MO (2010-09-10) A Barnard Native and Junior at the university in Maryville lands a national scholarship focused on math and science.
Kirk Skoglund is one of just 35 students across the nation to win the armed forces communications and electronics association educational scholarship. The award is given to students studying in the "STEM" classes which stands for Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics. Skoglund is a junior math education major and wants to teach high school math when he graduates.
