KANSAS CITY, MO (2010-09-21) About 100 members of a Northwest Missouri Army National Guard Troop are back in familiar territory.
Soldiers in the 1141st engineer company returned last night to the Army National Guard Armory in Kansas City. The company made of members throughout the state and based in Kansas City left a year ago this month to help clear land mines and bombs from Afghanistan roads. During the mission a Sergeant from St. Charles Missouri was killed. Missouri governor Nixon and state adjutant General Stephen Danner were on hand for last night's welcome home ceremony.
