NODAWAY COUNTY, MO (2010-09-28) Nodaway County will be resurfacing Highways 71 and 136, starting the middle of next month.
A micro surface treatment will be done to both highways to extend the life of the pavement. The project will go to the Vance Brothers Incorporated of Kansas City for nearly $470,000. Holly Murphy Senior community relations specialist wants travelers to know the highways will stay open for traveling. The road work on 71 will include the north bound 7 miles running south of Maryville and on 136 a 1-mile section will be resurfaced on the east end of Maryville at Highway 46 and 136.
