TRENTON, MO (2010-09-02) Premium Standard Farms has won the two year extension it was asking for clearing the final hurdle to complying with its court order.
The Corporate Hog Giant was being asked by the state and a court appointed panel to install barn scraper technology in barns across North Central Missouri. Yesterday, the ruling came down it has until July 31st of 2012 to finish that proceess in all 366 of its barns. Premium Standard Farms president Bill Homann says it's good news for both employees and the communities Premium Standard Farms is in. Since 1999 Premium Standard has spent $4,000,000 by court order installing technology to hold down odors and protect the environment.
