ST. JOSEPH, MO (2010-09-24) Those who have changed prescriptions or have expired medicine at home have a chance tomorrow to get rid of them.
The St. Joseph Police Department and the drug free community coalition are sponsoring a "Prescription Take Back" Drop off. Christy Miller is with the coalition and says a box will be set up and pill bottle labels will be blacked out to assure anonymous donations. Any prescription, non-controlled medicine like cough syrup, and over the counter medicine will be accepted, but needels and syringes will not. The prescription take back is tomorrow at St. Joseph's East Hills Mall parking lot. It runs from 10 in the morning until 2.
