New Education Law

Wayman

MARYVILLE, MO (2010-09-30) Changing times means changing policy for our region's school districts.

Missouri schools are putting several new rules in place because of the omnibus education bill passed by lawmakers. Among them: Addressing Cyberbullying. Co-sponsor senator Yvonne Wilson says technology is driving the need to address the issue. Among other changes stemming from the new Missouri Law is allowing school districts to create a sliding scale in order to afford the "Parents as Teachers" program, which saw drastic cuts in state funding this year.
