UNIONVILLE, MO (2010-09-06) A native Northwest Missourian who ahs adopted is now editing a future book on the topic and is asking for other's personal stories.

Melainie Recoy now of Unionville is also the co-founder of "Adult Adoptees Advocating for Change". Called "Pieces of a Reunion", the book will cover true life stories of successful adoption searches, not so successful ones, stories fro extended family members, and others. Recoy says adoption stories should be submitted by October. Recoy says she hopes to gather stories of the uncharted risks, pitfalls, emotions, and benefits involved with adoption.
