ST. JOSEPH, MO (2010-09-13) The rise of the tea party movement is proving popular for a conservative speaker coming to St. Joseph next month.
Former house speaker Newt Gingrich is speaking as part of Missouri Western's convocation on critical issues. Now the school says tickets to a dinner the night before have been sold out. A waiting list has been started. Missouri Western officials says they anticipated Gingrich to be a popular speaker but the response has exceeded their expectation. His public lecture is still open and free to the public. It will be on Thursday, October 7th. It starts at 9:30 that morning in the looney complex on the Missouri Western campus.
