MARYVILLE, MO (2010-09-20) Area high school students will get a chance to see first-hand the damage drunk driving can cause.
Tomorrow, a dare committee will be setting up a simulation of a drunk driving accident. Sophomores from Nodaway County, Worth County, North Andrew and Bedford, Iowa will attend the simulation. One of the organizers of the event, Janet Degase says this is an effort to show students how lives can change when a drunk driver is involved in a crash, even at low speeds. Degase says the alcohol awareness Docu-Drama will be tomorrow morning at 9:30 at the Hangar in Maryville. She says parents are invited to attend and evaluate it.
