Chillicothe Storyteller

CHILLICOTHE, MO (2010-09-09) Today the Chillicothe area council ahs teamed up with the Livingston County library to bring storyteller Loretta Washington to Chillicothe for a series of programs running through September 12th.

Washington is recognized for her wonderfully crafted stories of African-American history and folklore. Chillicothe arts administrator Juile Ashbrook mentions that among Washington's stories are those of her own family. Washington will present a program at 6 tonight in the courtroom of the Livingston County library. She will also present her stories at Chautauqua in the park in Chillicothe's Simpson park this Saturday and Sunday.
