BROWNVILLE, NE (2010-09-03) One week from today is when state transportation officials plan to once again shut down the Brownville bridge.
The ongoing project connecting Rock Port Missouri and Brownville Nebraska over the Missouri River requires periodic shut downs. This time the contractor is doing a strengthening project, which involves adding steel plates to the bottom of the existing beams. Again, the Brownville bridge closes next Friday night at 6 in the evening. It should be back open to traffic on Sunday, September 19th.
