ST. JOSEPH, MO (2009-09-08) The St. Joseph City Council meets tonight.
On the agenda is a public hearing on the City's Tax Levy. Council Members will also swear in Jeff Penland after he was chosen among several candidates to replace the late Mike Hirter's seat on the St. Joseph City Council. The Group is also expected to approve a $25,000 purchase for the Livescan Fingerprint System, a $64,000 agreement with the Missouri Department of Health for a Public Health Emergency Program, purchasing two Pontiac cars for the Police Department, and approving the final platt on a 10 lot subdivsion on Charles Street. The Public Hearing and City Council meeting in St. Joseph begins tonight at 7 in City Hall.
