Shields on Session

Wayman

ST. JOSEPH, MO (2009-09-15) Missouri's Senate President Protem from St. Joseph says don't expect and veto overrides when lawmakers return to the State House tomorrow.

It's the annual veto session, and St. Joseph Republican Charlie Shields says overriding any vetos by governor Nixon is pretty slim. The last time a veto was overridden was in 2003 when three vetos by former governor Holden were reversed.
