MARYVILLE, MO (2009-09-23) Since school has started Maryville public safety has gotten about half a dozen reports already of drivers ignoring school bus stops.
The dangerous crime can spike at the start of the school year, but officials in Maryville are aggressively cracking down. Public safety director Keith Wood says there are no excuses to driving through a school bus stop, and there are way too many eyes watching you. The Missouri law governing school bus stops is actually named "Jessica's Law", which puts the burden of proof on a street driver to err on the side of children's safety.
