SAVANNAH, MO (2009-09-28) The City of Savannah has saved some money by getting in early.

At the recent City Council meeting members heard how the golf course received a discount for ordering chemicals early from its supplier. Also at the Meeting Council Members heard the city will most likely end up with a deficit in the general fund as the fiscal year closes, it ends Wednesday. Members agreed to move money from the revolving loan fund to the general account to cover the shortfall until the tax money comes in this fall.
