MARYVILLE, MO (2009-09-02) Another round of Counterfeit Money is being passed, this time at the University in Maryville.
Campus Authorities say fake $100 bills were found being passed through the University's Bursar's Office. Campus Safety is reminding anyone who handles money to compare all questionable notes with a genuine bill, looking especially at the quality of printing and even the paper. They say if you notice any differences, you should contact local law enforcement immediately. Campus Safety says they are working with Federal Secret Service Agents on the case, and anyone with any information or questions about the Phony Money should call Campus Safety.
