9-11 Days of Service

King

MARYVILLE, MO (2009-09-11) The Missouri Community Service Commission (MCSC) has organized a state wide Rememberance Campaign in honor of the 9-11 tragedy victims and to pay homage to the heroes that protect us each day.

The MCSC has recruited citzens, high schools, community groups, disaster response organizations and personnel across the Show-Me State to play a part in this day of service and rememberance. Linda Thompson, Executive Director of the MCSC, says the process was easy because of so many people's willingness to help. Some of the activities that will take place are a Blood Donation, Loose Change Donation, A B-2 Bomber fly over and a state wide moment of silence 11 minutes after 9 O'clock. The event will be on the South Lawn of the Capital Building in Jefferson City and will end at 2:30 this afternoon.
