Second Harvest Receives Top Rating

The Second Harvest Community Food Bank based in St. Joseph has been honored by a leading charity evaluator.

The organization "Charity Navigator" has given Second Harvest a 4-star rating for their work in northwest Missouri and northeast Kansas. Chief Executive Officer of Second Harvest, David Davenport, says there are a couple of reasons why Second Harvest earned the high rating from Charity Navigator.

Davenport says Second Harvest is the only 4-star rated nonprofit in Missouri not located in St. Louis, Kansas City or Columbia.
