NODAWAY COUNTY, MO (2012-10-25)

A new manufacturing plant is coming to Nodaway County.

The announcement was made this morning in Burlington Junction with the facility to be located near Burlington Junction on Highway 71 in northern Nodaway County.

The company is called "ChloroFill" and is based in San Diego, California. ChloroFill founder and President, Michael Hurst, says his company specializes in renewable building materials.

Sorghum for the building panels is being grown on the Northwest Missouri State University farm. Hurst says Nodaway County's agriculture base and central location makes this area an ideal location for his manufacturing facility.Construction of ChloroFill's facility is expected to be completed by the end of the first quarter of 2013. Hurst says the plant will initially employ nine workers expanding to forty by the end of their fifth year
