LIVINGSTON COUNTY, MO (2012-10-22)
The Livingston County Sheriff's office receives a grant for new identification equipment.
The office will now use what's known as Iris Scan Equipment. Iris Scan takes a photo of the person's eye using 240 points in the eye to create a profile. The information is then put into a data base instantly. Livingston County Sheriff Steve Cox says the Iris Scanning Technology is more accurate in identifying people.
Cox adds the equipment helps keep records immediately available to anyone else around the state of Missouri or United States .© Copyright, KXCV
