Two people have been killed in a car-train collision in northeast Kansas.
Brown County Sheriff John Merchant says the vehicle collided with a Union Pacific freight train around 10 a.m. Monday at a crossing north of Hiawatha Merchant says a man and a woman were pronounced dead at the scene. Their names were being withheld while relatives are notified. Few other details were immediately available. The cause of the crash is under investigation.
