The number of businesses hiring graduating college students in the area appears to be increasing.

The number of employers attending Career Day at Northwest Missouri State University yesterday set a new record. Director of Career Services, Joan Schneider says in 2001, 107 employers attended Northwest's Career Day. This year, 117 employers were looking to hire.

Schneider says Career Day is a great opportunity for Northwest students to develop relationships with employers. She adds it's also a chance for Northwest to let employers know what the students have to offer.Schneider says her office will be organizing another Career Day Tuesday, March 12.
