ATCHISON COUNTY, MO (2012-10-24)

A bridge in Atchison County is set to reopen soon.

According to the Missouri Department of Transportation, the Little Tarkio Bridge on U-S 136 east of Route M near Tarkio is on track to be completed before December. The new beams are set and the concrete deck is ready to be poured this week. Community Relations Specialist Marcia Johnson says the new bridge will be wider.

The bridge has been closed since September 4th.
