JEFFERSON CITY, MO (2011-10-26)
Area residents heard directly from the US Army Corps of Engineers last night on the decision to flood the Missouri River.
Representatives of the Corps were in St. Joseph to outline the cause and strategy that caused this year's record flooding along the river. Corps spokeswoman Monique Farmer says residents also had the chance to give feedback to the Corp, which she adds is especially important is developing next year's river management plan.
The Corps is holding similar public forums in Overland Park this evening and Jefferson City tomorrow.© Copyright, KXCV
