JEFFERSON CITY, MO (2011-10-27)
A 15 minute film on the flood of 2011 is being shown across Missouri.
It debuted this week in St. Joseph at the Army Corps of Engineers public hearing. The documentary is called "Underwater and Overlooked: Crisis on the Missouri River" and is produced by the Missouri Corn Growers Association. Producers spoke with businesses and landowners like Eddie Drewes in Holt county on how the floods impacted residents.
The Corps says it wants input to help determine future management of the river. The Corps is holding another public input meeting tonight in Jefferson City, where the film be shown again. It can also be viewed at the website mocorn.org/flood© Copyright, KXCV
